Undercut the bows of the Ventilo 28 M2, the capsize can no longer be stopped
During training over Easter, a Ventilo 28 M2 came to rest on its nose. No-one was injured and the cat was recovered. The picture series

The Immoset Sailing Team was early this season. Over Easter, they trained on Lake Constance with catamaran guru Mitch Booth. This training came to an abrupt end on Easter Monday. In actually moderate conditions, the Ventilo 28 M2 catamaran sailed under gennaker at a speed of around 15 knots, which was too slow. A gust comes in at around 25 knots and the cat gets too much pressure. The traveller is not lowered in time, both hulls undercut and the boat capsizes over the bow.

Nobody was injured. Helmsman Ueli Naef even manages an artistic climb. He stays dry. Only two sail battens break. The cat can be righted with the help of the escort boat.
