On Whit Monday, 20 May, the longest regatta of the North Sea Week starts with "Pantaenius Rund Skagen 2024". It is only sailed every two years. Pantaenius and YACHT are taking the fact that it is happening again this year as an opportunity to organise a digital race (Virtual Regatta) and offer great prizes

After around 18,000 participants took part in the digital edition of the regatta in 2022 and almost 900 in the YACHT competition, the latter will be held again this year. Pantaenius and YACHT will be awarding prizes from their range as special prizes for participants who use the code "SKAGEN" when registering and thus take part in the YACHT ranking.

First to third place will each receive a Pantaenius skipper liability insurance policy from Pantaenius. The term of the insurance policies is one year, which must be taken out within the next six months. The insurance policies cover a sum of up to ten million euros, they apply to ships up to 17 metres and only for private use. In addition to the skipper's liability insurance, the three best virtual sailors of "Rund Skagen" will receive a one-year YACHT subscription, a Pantaenius goodie bag and a YACHT cap.

Prize draw for 25 exclusive full packs

Sailors can buy certain items of equipment in Virtual Regatta to make their yacht faster. The largest, all-encompassing variant is the full pack. A full pack for the virtual "Pantaenius Rund Skagen" is otherwise only available for a fee. However, Pantaenius and YACHT are giving away 25 full packs each.

Note: The competition has ended. The winners will receive an email on Friday, 17 May 2024. The starting signal will be given on Monday, 20 May 2024 at 16:30. Registration for the virtual regatta, including your own YACHT ranking, is still open!

How do you take part in the virtual "Round Skagen"?

To sail Pantaenius Round Skagen virtually, you first need to open the Raceplayer. The easiest way to do this on your home PC is via Pantaenius or directly on Virtual Regatta Offshore - Virtual Regatta. The Virtual Regatta app can be easily downloaded via smartphone: Virtual Regatta Offshore in the App Store or Virtual Regatta Offshore on Google Play.

Attention! We sail offshore, of course. The game also offers an inshore variant, but this does not provide access to Pantaenius Rund Skagen. The game is available in English, French and Spanish. The instructions below refer to the English language version.

Virtual sailing made easy: How Virtual Regatta works

1. name and registration

You will find your personal ID in the top left-hand area. If you are logged in as a guest, this is quite a long number. Otherwise, you will find the user name you have chosen here. Please note: In order not to lose your regatta progress on other devices, you must create an account. Without an account, the game can only ever be used via the same browser on the same device when paused in between. If you want to create an account, click on the "Guest_xxxx..." banner and then select "Create your account".

2. shop

The shopping trolley symbol allows you to buy certain advantages in the game for real money. Credits can be exchanged for equipment. As a Vip subscriber, you have access to additional functions such as more programmable waypoints, radar or special routing options. Please note: The subscription is automatically renewed. As the name suggests, a full pack offers full equipment for your virtual boat and can be used for one race. Sailing overcompletely offers advantages, but costs money. This can be selected individually for each race.
