The race organisers of the Louis Vuitton Cup test the level of preparation for the eliminations

Things get serious for the ten challenger syndicates on 1 October. Several rounds will then be held to determine who can ask the New Zealanders to fight for the jug. A trial run is currently taking place for the organisers.

There are two boats from "Prada" (Italy) and one each from "OneWorld" (USA), "Alinghi" (Switzerland), "GBR Challenge" (Great Britain) and "Oracle Racing" (USA). The race is not an official event, but the action in the Hauraki Gulf off Auckland/New Zealand was nevertheless fierce. No team wants to show weaknesses in front of the other and the referees had their hands full and had to impose a number of penalties. The best conditions to prepare for the actual matches.
