Professional windsurfer Björn Dunkerbeck joins Team Le Défi
After professional rowers were already involved in various crews at the last America's Cup, another non-sailor has now found his way on board.
The French team Le Défi has added multiple windsurfing world champion Björn Dunkerbeck to the team.
With a live weight of around 100 kilograms, the professional windsurfer Dunkerbeck is certainly a good choice to lend a hand with the winches and grinders off Valencia in 2007.
It remains to be seen how the Spaniard by choice, who lives in Gran Canaria, will organise the Professional Windsurfing Association (PWA) tour and Le Défi's parallel training. He is still in second place in the PWA rankings.
