The Italian Cup challenger
The Italian America's Cup challenger Mascalzone Latino has taken over the yacht from Dennis Conner

Mascalzone Latino Sailing Team, one of the two Italian challenger syndicates, has taken over the IACC yacht USA 55 - Stars & Stripes from American rival One World.

It is the boat that Dennis Conner sailed in the last Cup. The team, led by owner Vincenzo Onorato, has left its base in Portoferraio and will start training in Auckland in mid-April. The newly acquired training yacht has just won the Americas Cup International Regatta in Auckland, proving that it is one of the fastest, especially in stronger winds. So not a bad training tool while the team awaits the arrival of the new build, ITA 72 - Latino XII.
