The United Internet Team Germany now has ten sailors under contract. Most of them signed until 2007.
Now there are already 13 sailors. Shortly after the German Americas Cup team inaugurated its base in Kiel and sailed its first trial runs on the fjord, skipper Jesper Bank (Denmark) announced four more commitments.
Contracts were signed with the Germans Nico Jeschonnek (Kiel), Matthias "Matti" Paschen (Hamburg) as well as Gerrit Bottemöller and Wolf Dietz (Munich). Hamburg's Henning Sohn was given a temporary contract until October 2005, meaning that in addition to the men mentioned, six others are now bound to the team by contracts.
In addition to skipper Jesper Bank, these are his compatriots Thomas Jacobsen, Henrik Blaksjær and Michael Hestbæk, the New Zealander Conan Hunt, Frederik Green from Sweden and the Germans Andreas John (Hamburg) and Tom Schöttle (Kiel).
