After spectacular regattas and some surprising races off Marseille, the America's Cup yachts will now meet off Valencia in Spain from 4 October to promote the world's oldest regatta with fleet and match races.
For days, the teams have been moving into the America's Cup Park in the harbour of Valencia and preparing the boats for the races. The teams from Alinghi, Team New Zealand and BMW Oracle in particular have a lot of work ahead of them - their boats were lifted out of their hulls by a squall in Marseille and thrown to the ground. The New Zealand boat was so badly damaged that a second boat was flown in from overseas for the races off Valencia.
The two Italian teams +39 Racing and Luna Rossa Challenge will be taking part in the "Act 2" meeting for the first time. A total of eight boats will be competing at the same time in the unusual America's Cup fleet race.
