The French Aleph team wants to be in the fight for the crown

The big joint campaign with our neighbour is obviously not going to happen. Team Aleph - Equipe de France has now been accepted as a challenger to Golden Gate Yacht Club, which is not joining forces.

Just a few weeks ago, the Peyron brothers' aim was to field a single French team that would be powerful by pooling all its resources ( Article ) The Aleph team, which has already competed in the Louis Vuitton Trophy in the past two years, has now entered. It is led by Bertrand Pacé, who has Cup experience, and multihull expert Alain Gautier. There is no mention of other previous French initiatives such as the Peyron brothers or Team All4one. However, a sponsor is not mentioned either.

The French Sailing Federation has given the team its blessing by confirming it as a challenger and authorising it to call itself Team Aleph Equipe de France.

This means that there are now three official challengers: Mascalzone Latino (Italy), Artemis (Sweden) and the French. A fourth team is rumoured to have entered, but has not yet been announced.
