ARD broadcasts the first five races live
It's a dream come true for sailing fans in Germany. ARD broadcasts all the America's Cup races in Auckland, New Zealand, live. Peter Carstens is on site as a reporter.
He will provide expert commentary on the matches between the challengers Alinghi (Switzerland) and the defending champions Team New Zealand. Tim Kröger is expected to act as co-commentator alongside Carstens. The Hamburg native sailed on the French ship "Le Defi Areva" until the quarter-finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup.
