Team New Zealand training off Bermuda
For the first time, the six teams of the upcoming America's Cup will sail on the Cup course and at the same time decide the 2015 World Series

In 2017, the America's Cup will be contested off Bermuda for the first time. But the potential teams have already been competing for the first time this year. Sailing has already taken place off Portsmouth and Gothenburg, and now the last event of the year is set to take place off Bermuda.

This will be the first time that America's Cup teams will be battling it out in the future Cup area. Training races are on the programme today, and things will get serious tomorrow. However, only very light winds are forecast for today and tomorrow, while the foothills of a tropical storm could provide more action on Sunday.

At least it won't be boring for the athletes. On the contrary: Team Oracle USA is even looking forward to the light wind conditions. "Team Ben Ainslie Racing was faster than us in Gothenburg in light winds and we want to see if we can catch up here," the team's General Manager, Grant Simmer, told YACHT online.

The first start is scheduled for 2.00 pm local time today, 7.00 pm German time. If you want to watch in Germany, you only have the option of watching the Paid app to download.
