Germany's best-known sailor Boris Herrmann, 40, has big plans: Just over three months after his sensational finish at the Vendée Globe on 28 January, the Hamburg native has announced new projects. He wants to win two of the most important ocean races with his team in the coming years: He wants to take part in The Ocean Race 2022/23, the legendary team race around the world. And then Herrmann wants to take part in the Vendée Globe again - and win this time. His new boat is currently being built in France.

He has also written a new book in recent months. It will be published in bookshops on Monday and is entitled "Alone between sky and sea". YACHT readers were able to read the first chapter in advance in the current issue of YACHT 19/2021. A further chapter will follow in YACHT 20/2019, which goes on sale on Wednesday. Delius Klasing Publishing House the book"Nonstop" about Boris Herrmann. The second edition is now available in stores.

The German sailing pro will talk about the books, his experiences at the last Vendée Globe and his goals for the next one on Sunday evening on the NDR television programme "Das!". He will be a guest on the "red sofa".

The programme will be broadcast onSunday, 19 September 2021, 18:45 to 19:30and repeated on Monday, 20 September 2021, 05:10 to 05:55.
