The "Blue Bottle" kite off Kühlungsborn
For the Queen's 70th crown jubilee, her former wedding present, the kite "Blue Bottle", competed off Kühlungsborn - and took a day's victory
It is probably one of the most famous boats in a class already spoilt by glitz and glamour. The "Blue Bottle" was given to Queen Elizabeth II and her husband by the Island Sailing Club as a wedding present in 1947. After extensive restoration The boat now competed at the Dragon World Championships off Kühlungsborn and even beat its newer sister ships.
