Nautor's Swan: big class reunion
At the Nautor One Designs Championship, the German "Fever" won the Swan 45 class, while the Nations Trophy itself was won by Italy ahead of Germany

It takes place every two years and is probably the highest quality shipyard regatta in the world: the Nations Trophy organised by the Finnish Nautor shipyard brings the standard classes Club Swan 42, the new Club Swan 36, the Swan 45 and the Club Swan 50 to the starting line. This time, the ranking was also used to determine the world champion in the Club Swan 50 and the European champion in the Club Swan 42.

The most successful German yacht was Klaus Diederichs' "Fever", which became European Swan 45 champion (7 starters). In the Club Swan 50 (18 teams), the Russian "Skorpios" won ahead of the English "Perhonen". Sönke Meier-Sawatzki's "Niramo" with tactician Bouwe Bekking sailed to third place on the podium. In the Club Swan 42 (12 teams), the Italians made up the medal ranks among themselves, with ORC ace Andrea Rossi winning with "Mela" ahead of "Digital Bravo" and "Far Star". In the new Club Swan 36 class, all the boats built to date competed, four in total. The winner was "Thirty Six" with Edoardo and Riccardo Ferragamo.

The Nations Trophy itself, which is awarded according to the ranking of the two best boats from each country, was won by Italy, with Germany coming in second.
