Virtual battles are also tough, but without spray and storms
The cult regatta will also be sailed virtually again. For the first time with its own YACHT classification. There are prizes totalling over 1,200 euros to be won for "YACHTies"

From Heligoland around Skagen to Kiel - this is the highlight of the North Sea Week every two years. But you first have to have the courage to attempt this ride across the North and Baltic Seas and have a suitable boat and a seaworthy crew. Not everyone has that. Nevertheless, EVERYONE can sail along and won't even get wet or freeze.

This is because Pantaenius Rund Skagen is also being held virtually for the second time. The idea was born out of necessity two years ago when the regatta had to be cancelled due to coronavirus. Without further ado, the organisers created a virtual round using the Virtual Regatta simulation software. Around 27,000 "computer sailors" took part - a huge success.

The aim now is to build on this success. For the race, which starts on 6 June like the real regatta, there will be a separate YACHT classification for the first time, the Pantaenius Rund Skagen YACHT Race. The top ten finishers in this classification can win prizes totalling over 1,200 euros.
