The race for the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award 2022 is on. No fewer than 150 yacht racing photographers from 29 countries have submitted their best works for this year's photo competition, which is dedicated to sailing in all its facets. The 20 best images will be exhibited at the World Sailing Annual Conference in Abu Dhabi and at the Yacht Racing Forum in Malta.
The winner of the main prize was chosen by the six members of the international jury: World Sailing CEO David Graham from England, Magenta Project Chairwoman Jonquil Hackenberg from England, AFP photographer and 2021 winner Loïc Venance (France), marketing and media consultant Meg Reilly (USA), "Skippers" Editor-in-Chief Brice Chevallier (Switzerland) and Nicolas Mirabaud (Switzerland), Managing Partner of Mirabaud & Cie SA. They selected the 80 best pictures, which can now be admired online.

Several pictures can be chosen in the "Public Voting". The winner will receive a special prize. The 20 best photos chosen by the jury will be exhibited at the World Sailing Annual Conference in Abu Dhabi and at the Yacht Racing Forum in Malta. The award ceremony will take place during the Yacht Racing Forum Gala Evening Reception on 21 November. Sailing photographers from all over the world are cordially invited to attend this event.
Three prizes will be awarded to the winners: the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award (main prize), the winner of which will be chosen by the international jury. There is also the "Public Award", which is based on the number of votes cast on the Internet. And last but not least, the "Delegates Award", which is based on the votes cast by participants at the annual World Sailing Conference.
