A good atmosphere dominated the popular event at Scharfe Lanke
The 25th Classic Regatta of the Academic Sailing Club took place at the weekend. Our photographer Sönke Hucho was there with his camera

For 25 years, classic yacht enthusiasts have been meeting once a summer at the listed home of the Berlin Academic Sailing Club on Scharfe Lanke. The sailing area is the Unterhavel between Berlin-Spandau and Potsdam. A unique natural and cultural landscape with bays, lakes and islands, lined by the Grunewald forest, villa grounds, historic buildings and the park and garden landscape of the Unesco World Heritage Site: Peacock Island, Sacrow, Glienicke, Babelsberg and New Garden. After the event had to be cancelled twice due to the coronavirus measures, it took place again this summer without any restrictions.
