Next Saturday, 3 December, YACHT photographer Nico Krauss invites you to enjoy mulled wine, punch and fresh waffles at his Wasserzeichen gallery in Kappeln from 12 noon to 5 pm. We show you his most beautiful shots here in advance

"The wide view of the sea works wonders" is how Krauss presents this year's Advent photo exhibition. And further:

What has helped us in recent months not to lose heart and go completely crazy? Cast off and out to sea!"

Krauss, who like many of his contemporaries is concerned about world events, has undertaken several photo voyages on his own keel and overland in the past year in order to get some distance. The result is numerous photo motifs, realised in a wide variety of formats.

Photo exhibition at the Wasserzeichen Gallery

On 03.12.22 from 12-5pm, Krauss and his gallery team invite you to the Wasserzeichen gallery at the Pierspeicher in Kappeln. Here he will be showing maritime landscapes, pictures of sailing, books, calendars, games and small photo gifts.

Born in Kiel, grew up on the water and on board, trained as a sailor in the club and sailing on the North and Baltic Seas. After school, navy and legal training, he worked as a trainee at YACHT from 2007-2009 in the Panorama department, which he now heads. He is also responsible for the special edition of YACHT classic, has published several books with Delius-Klasing and is deputy editor-in-chief of YACHT. Johannsen is an enthusiastic cruising sailor on his own keel and an active supporter of the German classic boat scene.
