One of the most beautiful images captured by the Spanish team of photographers from Sailing Energy at the Olympic regatta. It was taken by Jesus Renedo. On Tuesday, the medals will be up for grabs in four disciplines on the "Enoshima" TV course. GER teams will be fighting for precious metal in three finals
After the postponement of the skiff finals, a sailing thriller in three acts has been organised for Tuesday. It's worth getting up early for these GER crews...

On Tuesday, four crews from the German Sailing Team will be competing on the Olympic courses in Sagami Bay. Three of them will be competing for medals on the "Enoshima" course directly in front of the harbour pier - almost without pause for breath and one after the other. ZDF and ARD will provide the fan treats directly from the Olympic harbour. The motto for Tuesday is: hopefully the morning will bring gold, silver or bronze. If you want to be there from the start when the 49erFX crew Tina Lutz/Susann Beucke (Chiemsee Yacht-Club/Norddeutscher Regatta Verein), the 49er men Erik Heil/Thomas Plößel (Norddeutscher Regatta Verein) and the Nacra 17 crew Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer (Kieler Yacht-Club) fight for medals, you should get out of bed at around 5am. Here is an overview of an Olympic TV day the likes of which German sailing has never seen before. The thrilling Olympic sailing programme for 3 August:

Start medal race 49erFX: 12.30 pm local time(5.30 a.m. German time). In third place overall after the main round (12 races), Tina Lutz/Susann Beucke (Chiemsee Yacht-Club/Norddeutscher Regatta Verein) are fighting for a medal that is within reach in every colour

Attack! Luise Wanser and Anastasiya Winkel are challenged very early on Tuesday in their last two races of the main round. While ARD is reporting on the Olympic sailing in its stream, ZDF is broadcasting all three medal races of the skiff athletes and the mixed teams on their foiling catamarans live on television on Tuesday. ZDF reporter Nils Kaben and his team will be at the start in Enoshima. Tobias Schadewaldt, himself Olympic eleventh in the 49er at the 2012 Games, and 470 sailor Anna Markfort will commentate on the showdown in three acts in the Mainz studio. Despite the early start time, many sailing clubs will be gathering together to enjoy the TV programme. For example, at the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein on Hamburg's Outer Alster, where Vendée Globe fifth-placed Boris Herrmann and members of Team Malizia will also be watching. As usual, YACHT online will report on a daily basis and provide you with all the background information and reactions from the final teams.
