His goal is a medal. But he needs a first-class result - and luck. Fingers crossed!!!
If you haven't watched the livestreams yet: Today is the day! Laser ace Philipp Buhl starts his last race at 07:30. It won't be easy.

Of course, Philipp Buhl is not the only one in demand today, but because he is sailing his medal race, most eyes will be on him. Ours too. ZDF will be broadcasting live.

Pictures are currently being taken of the Nacra 17 races, whichPaul Kohlhoff and Alica Stuhlemmer with a3rd and 6th place have opened. They continue to sail confidently to bronze, but the British in second place are now 10 points away.

In the women's 470Luise Wanser and Anastasyia Winkeltwo opportunities to improve. They capitalised on the first one straight away:7th place in WF 7, 12th place overallso far.

And then there's our Laser world champion, who wants a medal at his second Olympic Games. The conditions today are fresher than last time, not so erratic. That will help. But it will still be difficult.

Philipp Buhl ideally needs a win and to keep his distance from his closest rivals. But let's not do the maths, let's keep our fingers crossed for him. To07:30 a.m. German time it starts.

Tatjana Pokorny delivers the day's summary with quotes from the mixed zone as usual in the early afternoon.
