The Sailing comradeship The coat of arms of Bremen (SKWB) is calling for applications for the traditional offshore sailing prizes in various categories, which are also awarded to non-members

The award recognises team voyages on the high seas, but also on the North Sea and Baltic Sea, which are distinguished by good preparation and careful seamanship.

Informal application by Wednesday

Applications will be accepted - informally - until this Wednesday, 14 September. It is important to provide information about who was travelling with whom in which sea area. The prize committee will be happy to coordinate further details directly with the entrants.

Honoured at the ocean sailing evening in Bremen's town hall

The presentation of the Franz Perlia Youth Prize, the Tanja Cup, the Silver Globe or the Golden Compass will take place on Saturday, 5 November 2022, as part of the traditional sailing evening of the sailing comradeship in Bremen City Hall.

Born in Kiel, grew up on the water and on board, trained as a sailor in the club and sailing on the North and Baltic Seas. After school, navy and legal training, he worked as a trainee at YACHT from 2007-2009 in the Panorama department, which he now heads. He is also responsible for the special edition of YACHT classic, has published several books with Delius-Klasing and is deputy editor-in-chief of YACHT. Johannsen is an enthusiastic cruising sailor on his own keel and an active supporter of the German classic boat scene.
