The Class 40 "Red" at the North Sea Week - a perfect boat for Doublehand Pantaenius Rund Skagen
Five weeks to go until the North Sea Week. For the 80th edition of the offshore regatta, there will be a new category called Doublehand-Plus

The plus: In addition to the two double-handed crew members, a youth crew member can be on board in accordance with the DSV youth rule for ORC regattas. The youth crew member must not have reached the age of 15 before 1 May of the current season. A perfect opportunity for experienced family regatta crews to realise their potential.

The calculation is based on ORC double-handed scoring. The boats will start within the usual class division with the other classes. The race committee reserves the right to prohibit the use of spinnakers in special weather conditions (this does not apply to Pantaenius Rund Skagen).

With Doublehand-Plus you can take part in all regattas of the North Sea Week with the exception of the Early Bird series. Even in Pantaenius Rund Skagen, however, proof of experience of double-handed regattas already completed by the crew members is required.

The 80th North Sea Week will take place from 6 to 9 June 2014.
The invitation to tender is available at www.nordseewoche.org available.
