Start preparations for the race to Helgoland
The sundowner regatta from Cuxhaven to Helgoland had the best wind conditions. But shortly after the start there was a cancellation

After the Haspa Private Banking Cup from Wedel to Cuxhaven had to be aborted and cancelled by order of the authorities due to fog, the Sundowner race was able to start on time at 7 pm in good visibility conditions. Thanks to good winds of between 12 and 16 knots, the RP 57 "Schokakola" reached the finish line off Helgoland after just 4 hours and 7 minutes.

However, the challenging navigation in the Elbe estuary claimed one victim: the X-332 "Rubix" ran aground when the water ran out, but was able to be towed free thanks to the help of customs and the water police. To be on the safe side, the "Rubix" returned to Cuxhaven to have the keel structure checked.

Calculated, the XP-44 "Xenia" won ahead of the JV45 "Leu" in group ORCi1. In the ORCi2 group, the IMX "Pax" won ahead of the Aloha Mare, a Comfortina 42.

The X-332 "Patent", which is used to winning, won the ORCi3 group ahead of the Mount Gay 30 "Intermezzo".

After the cold crossing, the sailors met in the boot Düsseldorf Race Village directly at the harbour for bratwurst and beer at the welcome party on Helgoland.
