Temo E-outboard wins Dame Award
The Dame Award honours innovative new water sports accessories. This year's winner is a special kind of electric outboard motor

The Temo weighs just five kilograms - and is designed to propel small boats and kayaks through the water for up to 80 minutes. This is made possible by a 450 watt motor, which is powered by a 290 watt-hour battery in the rod of the electric wrigger. And indeed, the outboard motor is more reminiscent of a wrigg paddle than a motor. Nevertheless, the propulsion can be easily activated via a pistol grip on the rod. A switch there even provides thrust aft, if required. According to the manufacturer, the performance is roughly comparable to a 1.5 hp petrol outboard.

Of course, the whole thing is waterproof. The Temo is charged with 12 or 230 volts and is built in France. It is distributed via the Website. The Temo costs 1438 euros.

The Dame Award is usually presented at the annual Mets in Amsterdam. This trade fair is the largest of its kind for boat accessories of all kinds in the world and is open exclusively to trade visitors. This year it is being held virtually. The Dame jury has also found the winner virtually and has just announced it in a video link.
