The Yamaha F5AMH on the test dinghy
The economical and high-torque Yamaha scored best in the test, even though the Tohatsu MFS5DD is slightly faster. This is because Yamaha's designers have focussed on details, such as the intake of fuel from the internal tank

In terms of fuel consumption, the Yamaha performs better than all other engines at slow and fast displacement, only requiring slightly more fuel than the competition at full throttle. The developers have put a lot of thought into this and have even installed a small pump ball for the internal tank.

  • + Most economical engine in the test
  • + Pump ball for internal tank
  • + Storage possible on each side
  • + Good detailed solutions
  • - Heavier and slightly larger

YACHT rating:***** (Very good)
