The four yachts from Bavaria, Beneteau, Hanse and Jeanneau being tested on the Baltic Sea
The new issue of YACHT focuses on an exclusive comparison test of four eleven-metre cruising yachts from German and French shipyards. There is also a detailed guide to the correct use of yacht radars and a travel report from the Netherlands. And we report in detail on the Mini-Transat, which will be starting shortly and in which German sailors will also be taking part.

The models from Bavaria, Hanse, Beneteau and Jeanneau are between 36 and 38 feet long. In a direct comparison, we took a close look at their sailing characteristics, deck equipment and manoeuvrability. The results provide information about the strengths and weaknesses of the various yachts and are a valuable decision-making aid for potential buyers.

Using radar correctly

Another highlight of the current issue is a detailed guide to the correct use of the yacht radar. In line with the motto "Everything in view", an expert explains how to orientate yourself on the water at night and in fog. The article contains practical tips on how to set up the device correctly. This article provides valuable information to increase safety on board and make navigation easier, especially for sailors who are travelling in challenging waters or in poor visibility conditions.

Water sports paradise Netherlands

The province of Zeeland in the south-west of the Netherlands is presented in a large area guide. A true paradise for water sports enthusiasts stretches from the Haringvliet to the Westerschelde. The article describes the vast expanses of water, which are often sheltered behind dykes, as well as the old and new islands, which are connected by dozens of canals and rivers. Zeeland offers ideal conditions for boaters of all kinds and is portrayed in the article as a diverse and varied area.

25 years of Mini-Transat

A special anniversary is the focus of another article: The mini-transat regatta across the Atlantic is starting for the 25th time. YACHT is dedicating a special to this daring race, featuring German hopeful Hendrik Lenz and top favourite Benoît Marie. The Mini-Transat is considered one of the most demanding single-handed regattas and demands the highest level of sailing skill and mental strength from the participants. The report provides insights into the challenges and special features of this extreme competition.
