Fan and power supply are very compact
A USB whisk and a power bank ensure air movement below deck on hot days

Sleep better in warm sailing areas! We have solved the problem of overheated bunks and sleepless nights simply and at little cost. We use compact fans that are supplied with power via a USB connection; they are sold in specialised shops as computer coolers. We use small power banks on board as our power supply. These are rechargeable batteries, usually smaller than a pack of Tempo tissues and equipped with a USB socket. The batteries eliminate the need for complex cabling and can be recharged at any computer or via a charger.

The fan and power bank can even be carried in hand luggage when travelling by plane, which is why this proposal is also suitable for charter sailors. The fans run silently and for a very long time on a single charge. Cooling guaranteed! The fan also keeps mosquitoes away. Some reading lights in the cabin already have integrated USB ports. In this case, the power bank can even be dispensed with.

Redakteur Test & Technik
