Upcycling for the old card
Instead of throwing away the old card, you can make something out of it. This way, the lamp not only looks beautiful again, but also maritime

After a few years, the shade of our paraffin lamp was a bit battered. The search for a suitable replacement was not easy, so I came up with the idea of making a shade myself from an old nautical chart. I cut off the old material, placed it on the old nautical chart as a template and drew the outline. Then I simply cut it out and attached the nautical chart to the wire frame of the lampshade. Before marking and cutting out, you can choose the most beautiful spot on the chart, for example your favourite anchorage. Time required: one hour. The best thing is: the material is free.
