Manufacture two-stage Dyneema shackles yourself
Dyneema shackles are increasingly replacing their metal ancestors. With a little practice, they can even be made on board - and in the desired length

Rope shackles made from a heavy-duty Dyneema core are increasingly replacing their metal counterparts. The textile connections are more durable, do not cause scratches and can even be manufactured in-house. There are further advantages: The shackle can have different usable lengths. It is produced in the usual way, but with more line material to match the desired length. The two ropes are not cut off behind the diamond knot, instead another diamond knot is tied with a little space between them.
