Inexpensive mini sprayhood for small cruisers
How can you protect the companionway and cockpit on a small cruiser from wind and spray? With a mini sprayhood, as this reader tip shows

We have been using a Ribomax hatch cover as an alternative sprayhood for three years. Although the small and lightweight wind and spray protection is not big enough to sit under, it protects the companionway area very well from moisture. We also had two round foil windows sewn in for a better overview. This means that the lookout in the companionway is protected and dry. And the mosquito net supplied keeps the bloodsuckers at bay at night.
