Good media and public relations work is immensely important in many areas today, and sailing is no exception. For example, the teams in the Ocean Race all have their own on-board reporter on the ships, who exclusively produces video clips, posts on social media channels and other content.
The Hamburg agency Big Sexy Pictures, which has already supported numerous projects in and outside of water sports, is now looking for a content creator for the newly founded Germany SailGP team. "You will be part of a unique sail racing team in the fastest and most spectacular sailing race series in the world. The journey to 12 unique locations, e.g. Auckland, Sydney, New York or Bermuda, will start as early as mid-July," promises BSP Managing Director Florian Gebbert.
Anyone wishing to apply should fulfil these requirements:
- Content creator and/or experienced VJ with editing experience
- Confident handling of all common social media platforms
- the ability to create quick content, but also to shoot and photograph high-quality images
- Affinity for action sports (preferably sailing)
- Residence in northern Germany or willingness to move here
- Desire to travel around the world
- Interest in a long-term contract
- Willingness to get through several days with little sleep and lots of action
- Independent working style and good, clear communication
- Ability to integrate well into existing structures and teams
- Fluent in German and English
