Becomes a bottleneck again: the passage at the Lindaunis bridge construction site
In mid-October, of all times, the passage by the dismantled bridge will be closed again for a longer period of time and is likely to catch some skippers cold on their way to winter storage

The responsible WSA has announced via the news for sailors that passage will not be possible from 16 October to 19 October from 8 am to 2 pm due to construction work on the temporary bridge. There will also be another closure on 23 October at the same times and one from 26 October, 8 am to 27 October, 1 pm. From 1 November, the passage will then be permanently closed and will remain so until 31 March 2024.

The pedestrian bridge is due to be installed in winter. It was supposed to be operational by the summer, but the date has been continually postponed due to construction delays. From April 2024, it will only be open to ships four times a day for around 20 minutes. The openings for boat traffic will then take place daily at 10.30 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 2.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m.

Information on the status of the work can be found on the Deutsche Bahn project page to the bridge.
