Smaller yachts are a rarity on the charter market. If you are looking for chic retro classics, it quickly becomes a search for a needle in a haystack

Sun Sailing Müritz has been offering an interesting range of small yachts from 19 to 29 feet in size for years, including refitted GRP classics such as older Friendships. Now the fleet is being expanded with three new additions: in 2019, the chic new retro classic Nordkaper 28 will be available for the first time at the Müritz in Klink, as well as a fully refitted Compac 23 and a 19-footer.

The Nordkaper has only been under construction for a few years and is a modern GRP sandwich construction in the style of the Dutch workboats of the North Sea a hundred years ago. Classic lines and solid construction are now also intended to inspire charter guests on the Müritz. Depending on the season, the small yacht is available for between 1500 and 1800 euros per week.

The refitted Compac 23, which can be booked for as little as 800 euros per week, is less expensive. The small cruiser with the striking round bulleyes from US production also has the classic lines of bygone times; the brown sails of the boats emphasise the retro style once again. All yachts can also be booked by the day.

As the Müritz is a popular area for beginners, Sun Sailing Müritz also offers courses for dinghy sailors who want to switch to larger keelboats and want to gain experience for this step. In weekend courses, the crews get to know the keelboats under expert guidance and can also try their hand at harbour manoeuvres.

Dates: 17 to 19 May and 14 to 16 June 2019; the cost: 420 euros per person.
