The weather forecasts in advance were as clear as the lack of wind itself, which made sailing difficult for the Bundesliga teams on the second league weekend of the season. The first division teams were only able to complete five races on each of the three days, while the second division teams only managed four flights. Nevertheless, the showdown on the shallow Lake Constance off Constance produced official results.

The German champions from the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein were wide awake in their matches. Helmsman Tobias Schadewaldt and his team won the race in the south with two victories, two second places and a third place ahead of Wassersport-Verein Hemelingen and Bayerischer Yacht-Club. "We knew what to expect from the weather this weekend. We are glad that we were able to sail at all. The fact that it turned out like this for us is just perfect," said Tobias Schadewaldt, who was in action with Johann Kohlhoff, Hinnerk Müller and Florian Thoelen. After the second league weekend, however, the Seglerhaus am Wannsee club continues to lead the first division table ahead of the Bayerischer Yacht-Club and the Hemelingen water sports club.

The team from the newly founded OneKiel club achieved its first victory in the second division. The young sailors, who are supported by a foundation and train regularly under the direction of Jochen Schümann, won the southern German second league summit with two victories and a second and third place each ahead of Lübecker Yacht-Club and Bocholter Yacht-Club. Magnus Simon acted as helmsman with Fabian Kasüske, Hinnerk Siemsen and Philipp Sudbrack. At the top of the 2nd Bundesliga table, the Blankeneser Segel-Club from Hamburg and OneKiel share the lead ahead of the Lübecker Yacht-Club.

Sailing is like a constantly refreshing declaration of love for life."
