With the quatix 8 Pro Garmin presents the ultimate marine multisport smartwatch for all activities on and off the water. Thanks to the now for the first time integrated inReach technology (active subscription required) for satellite and LTE connection, an interactive SOS emergency call can be made if required - completely independently of the smartphone. Particularly helpful: when boat mode is switched on, the apps connected to the boat or relevant to water sports are activated so that you can quickly take full control at any time.

The quatix 8 Pro is available in 47 millimetres and offers a battery life of up to 15 days in smartwatch mode and up to 44 hours in GPS mode. The robust, elegant design with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display, titanium bezel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal makes the quatix 8 Pro the perfect companion on board.

Never out of reach

Thanks to integrated inReach technology for satellite and LTE connections, the quatix 8 Pro keeps you connected at all times - up to 80 kilometres off the coast. Depending on availability, the watch uses the appropriate technology: if an LTE connection is available, voice calls can be made and your location can be sent via LiveTrack. The satellite connection, on the other hand, is used to exchange text messages and for location check-ins. Location updates are sent to specified people so that the route can be tracked.

If the worst comes to the worst, an SOS emergency call can be triggered via the watch. The quatix 8 Pro sends a message via satellite or LTE to Garmin Response, the 24/7 staffed international emergency coordination centre. From there, Garmin Response communicates with those who have requested help, their listed emergency contacts, search and rescue organisations and other available local resources. They keep everyone informed of the status of the response, including confirmation when help is on the way, and remain available during the response. The development of the watch is based on the experience of almost two decades of the Garmin Response Team and more than 1,200 inReach operations on the water.

Take control quickly

The extended boat mode makes it easier than ever to take full control of the helm on board. The feature activates apps connected to the boat to control the autopilot or electric motor directly from the wrist. If the boot mode is deactivated, apps required for everyday life or gym activities, if applicable, appear on the watch face instead.

Robust elegance with premium functions

Equipped with an internal speaker and microphone as well as a variety of specific marine functions, the quatix 8 Pro is the ultimate smartwatch for the helm. Navigation is carried out by voice command (provided there is a Bluetooth connection) and with just a few clicks, the quatix becomes a remote control for Garmin trolling motors, entertainment and lighting systems.

But the watch also impresses away from the water with comprehensive health and fitness tracking with heart rate measurement, heart rate variability, sleep monitoring, respiration recording, Pulse Ox and much more. A variety of indoor and outdoor sports apps, such as running and golf, reliably track activities. In everyday life, additional features such as smart notifications, music storage and Garmin Pay for contactless payments also provide support.
