Over 30 participants successfully took part in the YACHT training Ladies only! Marina Heiligenhafen became the scene of many harbour manoeuvres in mid-April. On board: YACHT readers from young to old!

Together with our partners FischerPanda, Pantaenius and Musto we were able to hold our popular YACHT Ladies only training from 19 to 24 April with 31 female sailors. At the Yacht and charter centre in Heiligenhafen the ladies were trained and accompanied by our three experienced professional skippers. In addition to the classic mooring in a box or on the pier, the participants were also able to drop anchor or even practice a "man overboard" manoeuvre. The next YACHT Ladies only training course will take place from 18-20 October. There are still a few places available!

This is what the participants of the spring training say:

Lilly (77): Nice training despite the initially rainy weather and little wind. All expectations were largely met and open questions clarified. Our instructor was absolutely great! It was a lot of fun with her, she was always friendly, taught the technique really well and treated us with respect. Our crew worked well together and there was a great atmosphere during the training. We had a lot of fun and very little stress. Nadine's preparation and guidance was really good and Deike's training was top!

Bettina (54): I really enjoyed the training. It gave me more self-confidence and I learnt to stay calm in every situation and to check the other options. Our skipper was very patient and gave good instructions. He gave us a lot of know-how in a very short time and made us think about certain topics. He always had an open ear for us.

Brigitte (55): I really enjoyed the training. I learnt a lot and am very motivated to apply and practise the tips from our trainer. The group was well put together, I felt very comfortable and hope to keep in touch with my fellow participants. Our trainer had lots of good tips, explained things patiently and didn't overwhelm us. He gave us enough time to practise, the explanations were always clear and the amount of information was just right. I went home really impressed.

Daniela (31): I really enjoyed the training. The atmosphere was relaxed throughout and everything was explained patiently. I liked the practical exercises without a lot of theory. There were lots of little bits of information and details that were taught in passing.

Silke (61): I enjoyed the YACHT training very much overall. Frank provided a very professional training programme. It was structured and explained everything well and clearly. He responded to the participants' wishes and ensured that all participants were able to make full use of the time available. His calm and level-headed manner helped me personally to reduce my excitement during the harbour manoeuvres. I was able to rely on him to provide support during all exercises if necessary. The maximum group size on board was five participants. This gave us plenty of opportunity to practise.

Ulrike (63): The training was superbly organised both in advance and on site. There was a lot of good learning content, perfectly tailored to women on yachts. We worked well together and had a lot of fun. It was very intensive and I learnt more than with other providers. I really learnt a lot and, in addition to the many tips, our trainer was above all very patient. I particularly enjoyed the twilight tour. The organisation was also great, we didn't have to worry about food, which usually "eats up" a lot of time. That meant we had all the more time to train. I can well imagine taking part in another YACHT training course, perhaps on the subject of gennakers or Code Zero.
