The three-day course covers all the manoeuvres that can sometimes pose problems even for experienced sailors: Mooring and casting off in the harbour, turning in the pit lane, steaming into the spring and other basics of good seamanship. The course is sailed on Beneteau, Hanse or Bavaria cruising yachts with conventional equipment and typical manoeuvring characteristics. Training is provided by qualified trainers from the Charter Centre Heiligenhafen.
The aim is to give participants more sovereignty, self-confidence and composure - in a relaxed atmosphere characterised by team spirit. The course is aimed at female charter sailors as well as women who are travelling with their partner on their own keel and would like to take an active part in steering the ship.
