This weekend (4/5 May), Marina Ultramarin, the largest water sports centre on Lake Constance in Kressbronn-Gohren, is opening its doors for an in-house exhibition. At the start of the season, water sports fans will be able to view around 50 motor and sailing boats between six and 15 metres in length on the exhibition pontoons at the boat show.

The area around the crane becomes a meeting place for everything to do with boats: Insurance companies, upholstery shops, sailmakers and suppliers of accessories, charter companies and sailing schools will present their services and products here. Items such as swimwear, maritime literature, guides for boat trips or small gift ideas as well as crockery, teak products and equipment for stand-up paddling are also on offer.

Whether family boat or sporty daysailer, water ski boat or comfortable runaboat - there is something for every taste. Ultramarin will also be opening its specialised market during both days, offering a wide range of products - from small shackles and maritime clothing for trips ashore to sailing knives and wetsuits. In addition, the 45 or so exhibitors bring a wealth of expertise with them, from training and financing to boat insurance. Associations will provide information on special Lake Constance topics and a charter agency if you want to go beyond the Swabian Sea. Sailmakers take care of the oldest "alternative" propulsion system and saddlers look after the tarpaulin under which the boat waits for the next weekend.

We look forward to welcoming many visitors - whether they are interested in a sailing boat or a motor yacht, want to browse through the trends in maritime fashion or simply want to enjoy the harbour flair." (Ultramarin Managing Director Sonja Meichle)

Exhibitor highlights at the Ultramarine Boat Show on Lake Constance

In addition to the award-winning Saffier yachts, highlights for sailors include the Bente 24 or its bigger sister, the Bente 28, which is ideal for Lake Constance, the sensational Bavaria C45 or a Hallberg Rassy.

The motorboats range from Axopar to Windy. Everything is there - fast speedsters like the Virtue V10, elegant cruisers like Linssen steel yachts and spacious wonders like a Galeon 405 HTS for a few days on the lake. A new addition to the group of exhibitors is Velasolutions with a tender boat.

How do you like this article?

You can enjoy the maritime flair in the Boatshow beer garden and the four restaurants located in the harbour area. While parents relax and stroll around the exhibition grounds or enjoy the view of boats and people in the deckchairs directly on the harbour wall, younger visitors can let off steam in the children's area with its bouncy castle and painting corner.

Opening hours of the Ultramarin Boatshow: Saturday 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday 10 am - 4 pm. Admission is free. You can find more information about the boat show and the current list of exhibitors here here.

Jill Grigoleit was born in Hanover in 1985. An early childhood memory is the large collection of YACHT and SURF magazines from her sailing and surfing enthusiast father. However, growing up in a small Swabian village on the Neckar, she had less to do with water sports in her childhood, apart from a few trips to the Baltic Sea with her family. After studying journalism in Bremen and Hanover, she went into television for a few years. Through a few lucky coincidences, she ended up on the water in 2011 and then returned to the written word professionally. For over ten years, she lived with her family on a houseboat in their own harbor south of Hamburg and wrote a book about houseboat building and life with children on the water. Since 2020, she has mainly been writing travel reports and features about people who live and work on and near the water for BOOTE. She has been a permanent member of the Delius Klasing water sports editorial team since January 2024.
