Renovations in Germany are not only taking place on the roads and railways; construction and refurbishment work is also underway at boot Düsseldorf. Regardless of this, the trade fair will once again become the international meeting place for water sports enthusiasts in Düsseldorf from 23 to 31 January 2027. The 58th boot Düsseldorf will welcome over 1,500 manufacturers, retailers and destinations from all over the world, showcasing the diversity of boating, surfing and diving in all their facets.

What impact will the building works have on boot Düsseldorf 2027?

Despite the construction work in Hall 9, it is still possible to access Halls 10, 11 and 12 from the exhibition centre’s main north entrance without any problems. A wide, specially protected, covered walkway guides all visitors safely through Hall 9, which is currently undergoing refurbishment. Michelidakis: “We are, of course, designing the passageway in the ‘boot’ look and feel, making it attractive for our guests. With our new hall layout, this ensures a quick passageway both for prospective visitors wishing to move from Halls 4 and 5 to the eastern halls, and for visitors entering via the North Entrance.”

The sailing halls are fully accessible

Sailors will be drawn to Halls 15 and 16 at boot 2027, where almost all the global players in the sailing boat industry will be on board. In the Sailing Centre, the stage is a real crowd-puller with its attractive programme centred on international sailing regattas and cruising trips, as well as prominent figures from the world of sailing who give fascinating talks about their lives on board or their sport.

A wide range of services and new technologies

Furthermore, with its high-calibre supporting programme, boot sets international standards in the water sports scene. A key component is the blue innovation dock in Hall 10, where exhibiting shipyards showcase pioneering technologies from their development workshops. It is thus a high-calibre platform that brings together visionaries, investors and politicians to ensure the maritime industry is fit for the future. With the ‘ocean tribute’ Award, boot Düsseldorf launched the first marine conservation prize at a trade fair eight years ago and has been providing an international stage for sustainable projects ever since.

In Hall 14, under the theme ‘Destination & Boat Life’, the focus is on maritime destinations, boat charters, international marinas, houseboats and the services offered by numerous nautical organisations and associations. Here, water sports enthusiasts can relax and plan their holidays by or on the water.

Tickets are already available at www.boot.de can be ordered.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
