Ocean Signal manufactures two new MOB transmitters for integration into the lifejacket. The Rescue- Me MOB2 alerts via AIS and DSC distress call and has been expanded to include a new function: as soon as a confirmation of receipt of the distress call is received, it is no longer transmitted. The transmitter therefore fulfils the new Class M regulations that came into force in some EU countries at the end of 2024. Price: 459 euros. The M200 is significantly more compact and, in addition to AIS and DSC, also transmits a homing signal at 121.5 megahertz for easy localisation of the person at close range. The price has not yet been finalised.
