The Nemo+ lifejacket for children from Spinnlock
Spinlock has a new lifejacket for children in its programme. The Nemo+ is available in two sizes. A special feature is the harness on the back.

The NEMO+ lifejacket from Spinlock combines safety with a child-friendly design for very young sailors. The smaller of the two sizes is designed for children weighing less than 15 kilograms, while the larger version is suitable for children weighing between 15 and 30 kilograms. The integrated harness on the back, combined with a lifeline, allows free movement on deck. This means that the little ones do not trip over the lifeline and are still safe from falling over the railing. In an emergency, the very voluminous buoyancy chamber around the neck reliably keeps the child's head above water. Soft fabric inserts in the neck ensure a high level of comfort.

In addition to the harness on the back, there is also a handle loop on the front. It provides support when climbing aboard or, in an emergency, to lift the child out of the water. However, this handle loop is not intended for attaching a safety line. The crotch strap holds the lifejacket in position and prevents it from sliding upwards. The belt is padded for better wearing comfort.

How a lifejacket should fit

The Nemo+ is put on like a jacket or waistcoat and then the zip on the chest is closed. The harness is then secured with a buckle and tightened. Finally, the crotch strap is hooked in and tightened. The following principle always applies to lifejackets: as tight as possible, as loose as necessary.

According to Spinlock, the Nemo+ is recommended for children aged 2 to 8 years. The right model for the child's body weight should be selected. The new lifejacket differs from the Nemo model in the harness. The Nemo+ costs 119 euros.
