Anyone who was not satisfied with the standard range of their Travel 1003 electric outboard has been able to switch to the high-capacity battery for around a year now. With 73 per cent more energy content, the running time is significantly longer. However, the battery costs just under 900 euros, which is half the price of the motor with the standard battery.
This is now changing, at least for new purchases. Under the designation Travel 1003C, the motor can now be ordered with the large energy storage unit. According to the manufacturer, this enables a range of up to 18 nautical miles at a speed of three knots.
The best thing about it: the combination costs €1999 and is therefore only €200 more expensive than the basic model.
