The Scanstrut Aura charging cradle enables wireless charging of smartphones in the cockpit or below deck. With IPX6 waterproofing and fixing technology, it keeps mobile devices safe even in rough seas.

The Scanstrut Aura SC-CW-12F wireless charging cradle offers a practical solution for charging smartphones on board. The waterproof device combines inductive charging with a secure holder for use at sea. The phone remains reliably fixed in place when the boat moves.

The Aura charger works with an input voltage of 10 to 30 volts and is therefore suitable for standard 12 and 24 volt vehicle electrical systems. The Aura charger has a charging capacity of 10 watts. This power enables significantly faster charging than standard induction chargers with 5 watts.

According to IPX6 certification, the charger should be protected against water jets. Integrated drainage openings prevent rainwater or splash water from collecting in the charging cradle. This design makes the device suitable for use in the cockpit or other exposed locations.

Easy installation and fast charging

Installation requires a cut-out in the mounting surface and four fixing screws. The connections for the power supply are waterproof and do not require any additional protection. Installation takes around 30 minutes and requires a drill and saw.

Mag technology automatically aligns the smartphone in the optimum charging position. The phone is magnetically attracted and precisely positioned, which improves charging efficiency.

The charging cradle can be used with all Qi-compatible smartphones. This includes current iPhone models from iPhone 8 onwards as well as numerous Android devices from Samsung, Google and other manufacturers.

The charging power of 10 watts is not utilised by all smartphones. While newer iPhones and Samsung devices benefit from this, older models often only charge at 5 watts or 7.5 watts. The actual charging speed therefore depends on the smartphone used.
