With a capacity of 2000 watt hours and 3000 watts of power, the portable DJI Power 2000 provides reliable on-board power even for large consumers.

The new DJI Power 2000 Powerstation offers sailors a compact energy solution for on-board operation. With a capacity of 2048 watt hours and 3000 watts of continuous power, it can easily supply a cool box, navigation electronics or even a hob. The 20 kg device measures 37 x 26 x 25 centimetres. It includes not only the battery, but also the charger, solar charge controller and inverter. The Powerstation therefore brings the entire on-board electrical system on board as a compact box. This can be useful for small boats that do not have an electrical installation. If the boat is normally only used for daysailing, it may not be worth retrofitting the installation for a summer cruise. With the Powerstation, everything you need for the trip is on board without any installation work.

Quick and easy to load

The Powerstation charges from 0 to 80 per cent in just 45 minutes using shore power. On board, it can be charged via the alternator or solar panels. The maximum solar charging power is 1000 watts. The DJI Power 2000 offers four Schuko sockets for consumers and plenty of USB-A and USB-C outputs. The 3000 watts of power are easily enough to cook noodles with an induction hotplate and simultaneously supply a cool box with power and charge a tablet and mobile phone.

A special coating on the electronics is intended to increase moisture resistance. Nevertheless, the Powerstation is not explicitly designed for outdoor use. A waterproof housing is advisable. It is controlled via a smartphone app, which simplifies operation. However, the charge status is also shown on a display.

Price and alternatives

With a price of 2,199 euros for the basic model, the DJI Power 2000 is significantly more expensive than conventional on-board batteries. A comparable 200 Ah AGM battery costs around 400-600 euros. In return, the Powerstation offers more flexibility and higher peak performance. If a comparable lithium battery and the charging infrastructure are to be purchased, it may be possible to save money. However, the installation must then also be carried out professionally. Another advantage of the DJI Powerstation is that it offers more flexibility and can also be easily taken to the beach as a power supply.
