Many people will still remember the "good old days": the very easy-to-use Geonav chart plotters were available from Nordwest-Funk in Emden, along with comprehensive service and advice. That was ten years ago, because in 2001 Geonav's head office, which was still based in Italy at the time, decided to launch the products on the market under its own management from 2002.

A lot has happened in the meantime: Johnson Outdoors has taken over the navigation equipment manufacturer, the instructions now come from overseas, the plotters have become larger and much more powerful, the product range has been expanded to include instrument systems and autopilot. What has remained is the simple operation. What German customers obviously lack, however, is a central, easily accessible contact person in the country.

Geonav now remembers the good work that the team around Managing Director Niko Reisch has done for the brand: With immediate effect, Emden-based Nordwest-Funk GmbH is - once again - the sole wholesaler for Geonav in Germany. Gianluca Bugli, European Sales Manager Director of Johnson Outdoors, knows that he is backing the right horse: "We have chosen Nordwest-Funk as our distribution partner to strengthen our market presence in Germany, as the company is known and valued for its expertise in the field of electronics." Reisch, who has also owned Nordwest-Funk since 2006, welcomes the new old partner with open arms: "We are sure that we will represent Geonav's excellent product portfolio excellently. We will soon be seeking contact with specialist dealers and will be available to answer any questions they may have."

The Emden-based company is sending out a clear signal: within the next week, all Geonav products are to be presented in detail on the Nordwest-Funk website. The most important ones are already online.
