Iridium GO! is designed to connect smartphones and tablets to the Internet even on the high seas - at a fair price

The Iridium GO! is a small, mobile Wi-Fi router that establishes an Internet connection via satellite. Internet access is then available to other devices via Wi-Fi. This means that the smartphone or tablet can be used anywhere in the world while at sea.

Free apps for internet and telephony are designed to reduce the amount of data. The Iridium GO! measures 82 x 120 x 34 millimetres, weighs 305 grams and is waterproof in accordance with the IP65 standard. The battery with a capacity of 3600 milliampere hours is said to last over 15 hours in standby mode and over five hours when making calls. According to the manufacturer, charging takes four hours.

Up to five devices can be connected simultaneously. The hardware costs 990 euros. iTabNav offers the Iridium GO! Unlimited tariff, which costs 219 euros for the first month and 169 euros per month from then on. It includes a data flat rate and 150 minutes of call time worldwide.
