B&G is expanding the Nemesis series with a seven-inch display. The new model complements the existing nine and twelve-inch versions and offers the same IPS Solarmax HD touchscreen with wide viewing angles. The customisable dashboards automatically switch to the wind depending on the course. The display was presented at Boot Düsseldorf 2026.
The Nemesis system is positioned as a flexible solution for sailors who want to customise their data display. Unlike classic multifunctional displays with chart plotter functions, Nemesis concentrates on displaying sailing data - from wind angles to speed, water depth and tank levels. The compact seven-inch format is suitable for mounting in the cockpit, where larger displays would take up too much space, or as a mast display individually or with several displays grouped on top of each other. The Nemesis series was launched in 2020 with the nine and twelve-inch models.
The Nemesis system works with preset dashboards that can be customised using the drag-and-drop editor. Sailors can choose from various data formats: classic numerical displays, graphical representations, histograms or the Sailsteer function for course optimisation. IP camera views and tank levels can also be integrated. Up to twelve different data fields can be created per dashboard.
The automatic context modes adapt the display to the current sailing course. In "Upwind" mode, other data is prioritised than "Downwind" or "Downwind". There is also a pre-start mode for regatta sailors and a pilot status for sailing under autopilot. The system automatically recognises the course to the wind and changes the display accordingly. This is intended to prevent the need to manually switch between different pages while sailing - an advantage over classic multifunction displays.
The IPS Solarmax HD touchscreen is designed to remain legible even in direct sunlight. According to the manufacturer, the technology offers particularly wide viewing angles and works with polarised sunglasses - a problem that many older displays have. The backlight, data sizes and colours can be individually adjusted. The touchscreen also reacts with wet fingers or sailing gloves.
The display can be mounted in portrait or landscape format. This enables flexible installation positions - for example, upright next to the companionway or across the bulkhead. The seven-inch model requires significantly less space than the larger versions and therefore also fits into smaller cockpits or as an additional display on sailing yachts.
The Nemesis display connects to the on-board systems via Ethernet or NMEA 2000. It can work independently or combine several displays with the hub. The display shows data from connected sensors: Wind sensor, log, echo sounder, GPS or AIS. Data from autopilots, engine controls or tank sensors can also be displayed. Integration takes place via the existing NMEA 2000 bus system The system is intended to be compatible with all standard NMEA 2000 devices, not just B&G products.
The Nemesis seven-inch display is available to order now and costs 1,546 euros. The next larger 9-inch version costs 2,379 euros and the 12-inch version 3,569 euros. The Nemesis Hub, which can be used to connect several displays, costs 447 euros.
