Henri-Lloyd is expanding its range with the Falmouth polo, a classic polo shirt with short sleeves. The shirt is made from 100 per cent organic cotton and uses piqué fabric. This fabric is characterised by its characteristic honeycomb structure, which ensures air circulation and makes the material breathable. The manufacturer offers the shirt in 17 different colours, which goes well beyond the usual range of traditional polo shirt manufacturers.

Material and processing

The Falmouth Polo uses only organic cotton. This is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. The piqué fabric is created using a special weaving technique that gives the material a raised structure. This structure creates small air channels between the fabric and the skin. The collar is knitted and therefore retains its shape even after repeated washing. The short sleeves also end in knitted cuffs that mould to the arm without constricting.

Equipment and details

The shirt features the well-known Henri Lloyd emblem with laurel wreath and crown on the left side of the chest. The chest has a button fastening. The cut corresponds to the classic polo shirt line with a straight hem. Henri-Lloyd offers the Falmouth polo in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL. The price in the Henri-Lloyd online shop is 85 euros. Buyers can order the shirt directly via the Order website henrilloyd.com or in the stationary trade.

Rewards programme

Henri-Lloyd operates a customer loyalty programme called the Rewards Programme. According to the company, members receive discounts on products, early access to new collections and invitations to exclusive events. Registration takes place via the website henrilloyd.com/rewards. The programme is open to all customers and does not require a membership fee.

Ole Puls was born in Schleswig in 1999. He quickly swapped the football pitch for the Schlei and grew up sailing a wide variety of dinghies and tall ships. From his grandfather's self-built wooden opti and a Europe to a 49er and an X362 Sport, there was a lot to choose from. After leaving school, Puls decided to train as a boat builder at the high-tech shipyard Knierim Yachtbau in Kiel in 2016. He successfully completed his training in 2020 and stayed at the shipyard as a bachelor. In 2022, he decided not only to build boats, but also to test them. Since then, he has been working for Delius Klasing Verlag in the Test & Technology section of BOOTE magazine. The training he received and the eye for detail and quality of workmanship he acquired help him immensely today. Even though he is a regatta sailor with heart and soul, he feels right at home on motorboats and enjoys separating his professional and private lives and yet combining them. Because we all know one thing: there is simply no better place to be than on the water.
