In spring and autumn, oilskins are usually essential when sailing. But even in summer, the North Sea and Baltic Sea can get very cold. If there is also rain and wind, it can quickly become uncomfortable. Oilskins have to do a lot to make a sailing holiday a pleasant experience: The clothing must be waterproof and keep you warm. But sailors don't want to sweat in them either. And last but not least, everything has to fit well for optimum freedom of movement on board.
In the test, twelve men's and nine women's combi suits had to prove themselves. A considerable number, which caused a state of emergency in the Test&Technik editorial team. But the direct comparison was worthwhile, as many differences came to light.
