19 rubber boots in comparison
They are significantly cheaper than breathable models, but can compete with them in terms of grip. And they are really waterproof

The rubber boots tested ranged in price from 20 to 210 euros. The most expensive model was an upward outlier. The majority of models ranged in price between 40 and 80 euros. This makes them significantly cheaper than breathable sea boots.

In the large comparison test, 19 rubber boots from 15 manufacturers were tested. They had to show how much grip they offer on different surfaces: Values were determined on teak, GRP and Treadmaster in dry and wet conditions. Dirt absorption in the sole and drying behaviour were also included in the assessment.

All 19 models were superior to the more expensive breathable models in one respect: they were all 100 per cent waterproof. You can read the detailed test report in the new issueYACHT 22/2016.
