The new Mirka DEXOS 1217 M AFC industrial hoover can make sanding work on boats cleaner. With 1200 watts of power and a maximum air flow of 42 litres per second, it is particularly suitable for extracting dust when sanding wood, filler or paint. The extraction of sanding dust prevents damage to health and the environment. The air flow also cools the abrasive and prevents it from clogging quickly. Good extraction therefore fulfils a threefold benefit when sanding boats. The compact hoover weighs 13 kg and is easy to manoeuvre thanks to its large wheels and brake.
The Mirka DEXOS is equipped with a brushless motor. The technology ensures high performance with comparatively low noise levels. This is specified by the manufacturer at 77.7 decibels. The scope of delivery includes a 4 metre long suction hose, cable and sleeve. The sleeve ensures that the sander's cable is routed neatly along the suction hose. The 17-litre container holds dust bags or loose material. The power level, hose diameter and other functions can be set via the illuminated control panel. Two sockets with auto-start function allow direct connection of power tools. When the tool is switched on, the extraction system starts automatically.

The automatic filter cleaning (AFC) ensures constant suction power. Manual cleaning can also be triggered. An air flow sensor indicates when the flow rate is not optimal. The dust bag can be changed without removing the storage boxes. The dust bag must be removed for wet cleaning.
As a class M hoover, the DEXOS retains 99.9% of dust and is suitable for materials with occupational exposure limits above 0.1 mg/m³. It is not approved for more hazardous class H dusts. Bluetooth connectivity enables additional settings via a smartphone app. With a price starting at 756 euros, the Mirka DEXOS is in the mid-price segment for industrial hoovers.
